ART DIRECTOR & DESIGNER

Davis Camp DeLisi is an art director and graphic designer. Her juxtaposition between organic form and structure with type design and layout punctuates her signature style. Davis believes good design deserves to ignite a compelling thought or conversation, because the power of design fuels emotion and connection.

BRAND IDENTITY

Brand Identity is more than just a logo. It is any visual brand element that showcases the brand’s desired image while telling a meaningful story. Good design takes focus, intention, and time. By unearthing the brands deeper meaning, my job is to explore designs that are strategically rooted and aligned with my client’s brand goals.

ART DIRECTION

As an art director, my job consists of managing the visual aspect of creative projects through exploration. It is my intention to ensure the artistic direction of a brand is strategic, thoughtful, cohesive, and easily identifiable.

TYPE DESIGN

I believe type design is important. It’s like fine art. My goal is to display typography in a way that enables the viewer to look at a letter in a completely new way. To notice the space between each letter—to notice the intention, the hierarchy; to feel the dissonance in the artists’ choice of structure and organic form. Type design should be playful, yet thoughtful; enthusiastic, yet quiet. I want my type design to tell a story that goes beyond letter form.

ILLUSTRATION

Finally, another medium I find interesting is digital illustration. I love mixing and matching muted and vibrant colors, while utilizing lines and organic shapes to tell a story.
